The Journey

A sigh of relief, no,

a sigh of sadness, no

a sigh that the journey that once began and is slowly starting to end

maybe

the sigh of a guessing game? thats a yes

the sigh hm well our journey that we began

one which we have become so close to is descending into the past.

the past, definately learned the most from the past.

what about the future is that your sigh, AH HA a nod

nervous that your calling and next journey will be one of uncertainty

definately i understand. Dont worry i am definately here

Oh dear blog 26 how do i begin? What do i write about? i know how about how crazy and fun this class has been. Though the work has been intense i feel as if i am slacking off at the end of the semester cause the work load isn’t as crazy. To be honest i am glad. I find the poetry is definately my favorite part because i have learned to write in different styles and word my poetry differently. i find it very exciting. Watching Henry and June and than reading Middlesex, slowly but surely. i find middlesex intresting but it doesn’t seem as intense as the Color Purple.

i want to say that its just another english class has ended

Definately cannot say that.

It has been the best class that i have ever attended

and just that thought makes my heart go a little flat

The work and the adventure was the best

even though the reading was a pain in the ass

i hope i can say i definately passed?

my brain is full of interesting facts

as well as writings that i feel so relaxed,

to write.

Time whines down

and looking back it seems to blur

I came in not knowing a single thing about

archetypes and the monomyth

now my head is filled with all this infomation

and using it everyday has been great fun.

It has been a journey I will never forget

now is the time to move on to the next threshold

and start a new journey

I am going to write about my archetypes. When I first took the test my most dominant archetypes were the warrior, seeker and the sage. As I read more about each of the archetypes I realized I am not just one dominant archetype. My archetype changes in every situation I am in. For example, I took the test three weeks ago, I had the worst week ever and I was really low on moral and wanting to continue my journey at school. When I took the test my dominant archetype was the orphan, and the innocent, wanting to feel safe again, as well and wanting to gain the strength back again. Then next week was break I had time to heal and accept what had happened. Finally a week later I took the test again, it bothered me. When I took the test again I was back to normal it seemed the warrior, the seeker and the sage. I found it absolutely amazing.

What if you were the same

Wouldn’t that be lame

Our lives would be equal

What fun is that we could never tell our sequel,

to the world around?

I made the decision to break from the ground

Lift off into a world that cannot be found.

Where everyone is different

And never the same

That we all wouldn’t be so lame.

Welcome to the twenty-first century we are no longer in a world where men rule. Way back when most “normal” people grew up, they go to school, graduate, got into college, got married, get a great job, and have kids. That’s normal to society but what about a society that isn’t normal where people where kids get pregnant at young ages fall in love get married and then divorced.

What about all these questions that are being asked is it right for a guy and a guy to be in love or how about a women and women being in love? Now we are back at square one. What now? Times have changed for better or for worse. As our society changes so do people. Let us compare women and men. Men are supposed to support the family, be strong, and definitely be the hero.

Women are supposed to be caring, motherly, take care of everything, and of course be sensitive. Women have changed; they are, sorry, we are now strong and heroic. Women today have now stood up to men more than they have in the pass. Women today are taking the chance and take on the male role. I connect this with queer theory and feminist’s theory. For example, in the Color Purple, Ms. Celie finally gathers the courage and stands up to Albert or Mr.___ . Now that I have started Middlesex I see queer theory everywhere.

My Journey

It has just begun the new journey

Start out heart broken wishing thing s were back to normal

Pain is clear and grades are affected

Nobody has helped me back up on my feet

Time off has helped me get over the pain

But a hole still remains

The journey begins of getting on my feet

Show the world that I can conquer it

Alone

That dreaded word alone

But I can do it head and chin up take the step forward

Though it may be painful I can get through my journey.

Who am I really?

IS this really me

You know the one that I fake to my parents face

Ah yes the good girl with good grades and under their control

There are times I want to be free

Let them know the real me

Get out of the norm and live life the way I wish

Nope can’t do that ill lose the chance of a life time

I have my rebel moment but I can never completely leave

It is time I am twenty years old im sick of living the life they want

But can I face them , I can it is defiantly time

You are the rock that has helped so many people.

See the shining light and lift your head

See life as it truly is to others
